Knife Fighting: Switching Grip To Maintain Control

Here you can see a very basic drill to acquire dexterity and sensitivity for switching grip in order to maintain some control on the knife hand when it moves and you’re about to lose it. Then I show some applications for this concept, and it is something that we worked on at this particular seminar.

Learn how to track the motion, follow it, adapt to it, and take it from there. Make things alive, but slow first. Then you can add intensity and intention to make it more realistic.

Create patterns, but use them with aliveness, to be able to recognize them and switch from one to another smoothly.
